SAIL, DSP constructs 'PRATIKSHA' at Durgapur Sub-Divisional Hospital
The newly constructed PRATIKSHA was inaugurated by Shri BP Singh, Director In-charge (Burnpur & Durgapur Steel Plant) on 14th May, 2022 amidst presence of senior officials of DSP & ASP and staff employees of SD Hospital, Durgapur.

NEW DELHI: As part of CSR activity of Durgapur Steel Plant, a new seating arrangement named PRATIKSHA has been recently constructed and installed at Durgapur Sub-Divisional Hospital at Bidhannagar, Durgapur for providing proper and comfortable seating arrangements to the OPD patients at the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Durgapur. The newly constructed PRATIKSHA was inaugurated by Shri BP Singh, Director In-charge (Burnpur & Durgapur Steel Plant) on 14th May, 2022 amidst presence of senior officials of DSP & ASP and staff employees of SD Hospital, Durgapur.
The new seating arrangements constructed by SAIL, DSP are poised to play an important role in the enhancement of Corporate image of Durgapur Steel Plant aimed at wider goal of contributing in the holistic development of society thus making a sustainable and meaningful difference in people’s lives including fulfillment of its commitment to social responsibility and social security.
It may be known that as a responsible Corporate, Durgapur Steel Plant has taken up and implemented various projects under CSR schemes for contributing to the overall betterment of the society at large. Noteworthy from among the various CSR projects implemented by SAIL, DSP is providing free medical treatment at the Nivedita Centre in the B-Zone area of Durgapur covering around more than 26000 beneficiaries every year through Swami Vivekananda Vani Prachar Samity including organizing regular free Health Check-up Camps at Model Steel Villages of DSP & nearby peripheral areas of DSP, free Mother & child care camps by DSP Mahila Samaj from time to time, free Eye treatment Camps with free medicines or spectacles as per requirement through DSP Mahila Samaj, free medical checkup & Cataract operations covering nearly more than 250 beneficiaries every year through Lions Eye Care Centre, Durgapur, and host of others.
