SCOPE Calls for Developing Women Leaders in PSUs
New Delhi: SCOPE in association with Forum of Women in Public Sector (WIPS) conducted a workshop on Leadership Development for Women Executives” here today which was inaugurated by Ms. Dagmar Walter, Director, ILO. Dr. U. D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE also addressed the inaugural session along with Ms. Kirti Tiwari, President Apex, WIPS änd Dr. Poonam Sahgal, lead resource person.
Dr. U. D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE in his welcome address said that as per McKinsey International, if women employees are given total equality at work centre, the world economy will improve by 28 trillion dollars. He called for women employees to come forward to have better participation in economy.
Ms. Dagmar Walter, Director, ILO in her inaugural address said that women participation in labour market is supplementary and therefore, both women and men need to be at the same level. UN Sustainable Development Goals, she added, calls for women equality for decent world of work.
Dr. Punam Sahgal, lead resource person presented the program perspective while Ms. Kirti Tiwari, President Apex, WIPS proposed the vote of thanks. The workshop was attended by large number of women executives of PSEs.
