SCOPE committed to high standards of Occupational Health and Safety
NEW DELHI . Dr. U.D. Choubey, Director General, SCOPE while delivering the keynote address at the 67th Annual National Conference of Indian Association of Occupational Health (IAOH) cautioned that Occupational accidents and diseases remain a cause of concern in corporate India. While apprising about the various emerging risks due to poor ergonomic working conditions, he suggested to have a centralized data on work related accidents and diseases. DG, SCOPE assured SCOPE’s full support for the cause of health and safety of the workers.
Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Health was the Chief Guest and in her address among others suggested the need for dedicated professional course on OS&H, better protective instruments for workers and rehabilitation of the affected workers.
The program also addressed by Padamshri Dr. Yash Gulati and Dr. Chandra Tripathi, Co- Chairperson of the conference, was attended by a galaxy of OS&H specialists, doctors and professionals from the industry.
