Bilaspur: On 27th May 2022, the 46th Tripartite Security Committee meeting was held in Bilaspur under the chairmanship of Mr. Malay Tikadar, DDG, Nagpur and Hyderabad Zone Chief Hospitality and Dr. P.S. Mishra CMD, SECL. Director Technical Operations cum Personnel Shri Manoj Prasad and Director Technical (Planning/Projects) Shri SK Paul were present as special guests.

During this, CMD SECL gave the basic mantra to work towards better knowledge, training and continuous updating of the workforce of the company through Mission Nachiketa. (NACHIKETA ) EXPANSION NEW, ADVANCE, COMPREHENSIVE, HOLDSTICK & INTIGRATED, KNOWLEDGE, ENRICHED, TRAINING, ARCHITECTURE. Further, he said in his speech – it is our collective responsibility to achieve zero damage target in SECL. 

He assured to fulfill whatever requirements are there for this. To implement the suggestions received from the House. Directed the Regional General Managers to ensure a safe environment and safe workplace along with productivity in their area. 

With the increasing target of production, adoption of new technology is also there and above all we have to ensure the availability of safe workplace as well as ensuring the necessary tools, facilities, training and knowledge of methodology to work safely.

Members of the Tripartite Security Committee Shri Anand Mishra (HMS), Shri B. Dharmarao (AITUC), Shri Kamlesh Sharma (INTUC), Shri Inderdev Chauhan (CITU), Shri Sanjay Singh (BSS), Shri GS Prasad (CMOAI) gave their views on Mine Safety Standards and related issues.

The meeting was attended by Shri Dev Kumar, Director Mines Safety Bilaspur, Shri Veer Pratap, Director Mines Safety Raigarh, Shri Ashok Kumar, Director Mines Safety Jabalpur, Shri Vikas Govind Ram Meshram, Director Mines Safety (Electrical), Shri Umesh K Kumar Sahu, Deputy Director Mines Safety. (Mechanics), Shri Anil Toppo, Deputy Director Mines Safety (Electrical), Shri S Putturaju, Director Mines Safety (Electrical), Shri BP Singh, Director Mines Safety, Shri N G Phule, Director Mines Safety (Mechanics, Shri S Bhaisare Director Mines Safety) (Mechanics), Shri RT Mandekar Director Mines Safety, Shri Nitin Kamalakar Raut Deputy Director Mines Safety (Electrical), Shri Sindhu Kumar Upadhyay, Deputy Director Mines Safety (Electrical), Shri Vijay Bhaskar, Deputy Director Mines Safety (Electrical) along with Regional Chiefs General Manager/General Manager and General Manager (CA/Admn) Mr. AK Saxena along with Head of Department were also present. In the meeting, various issues of mine safety including manpower, availability of safety equipment, training, increase in safety awareness, mine inspection were discussed in detail.

The meeting started with the lighting of the security lamp, after which, since the last meeting, during this meeting, those workers engaged in coal production, who attained martyrdom, were paid tribute by keeping a silence of two minutes. In the meeting, security oath was taken by all the attendees after the Coal India Corporate Song. All the visitors were welcomed in the meeting with a bouquet. Giving welcome address Shri AK Tiwari General Manager (Mine Safety/Rescue) provided information regarding security. Security report was presented in the meeting through power point.
