SECL's Manikpur mine achieved target of coal production
New Delhi: On 23.02.2024, the Manikpur mine of SECL Korba area again set a record and achieved the coal production target of 52.50 lakh tonnes for the financial year 2023-24 ahead of time.
Mr. Deepak Pandya, General Manager, SECL Korba Area, congratulated the entire team of Manikpur Mine and said that I was confident that this year also the target of producing 52.50 lakh tonnes of coal from Manikpur Mine will be achieved before time.
It is the result of the work culture of Manikpur that due to everyone's dedication and hard work, the production target was achieved before time, the credit for which goes to all the officers, workers and contract workers of Manikpur.

Korba area has so far produced 72.77 lakh tonnes of coal whereas the target this year is 77.20 lakh tonnes. Saraipali has gone ahead of its target of 14 lakh tonnes and has produced 14.61 lakh tonnes of coal from underground mines in the coming month to achieve the target of Korba area.
On this occasion, Mr. R.P. Gupta, General Manager (Operations), SECL Korba Area, while congratulating the entire team of Manikpur, said that it is a matter of pride to achieve the target of coal production with safety as the first priority. Manikpur Mine has prematurely achieved the target of coal production for the tenth consecutive year from the financial year 2014-15. Till the year 17-18, the coal production was 35 lakh tonnes and after that after getting environmental permission for the production of 49 lakh tonnes of coal, it has continuously increased.

The environmental permission is only 52.50 lakh tonnes, that is why coal production will remain closed from tomorrow till 31st March.
Congratulating all the employees and officers, Deputy General Manager of Manikpur, Shri HK Pradhan said that along with the production, till now we have dispatched 53 lakh tonnes of coal and also removed 101 lakh cubic meters of OBR and all this is due to the hard work of the employees here. This is the result of dedication. The role of labor representatives and contract workers is important in achieving the production target. Everyone deserves congratulations.
Manikpur Mine Manager Shri GP Kumhar also congratulated all the employees and officers and said that we achieved this target only due to the collective efforts of everyone working in team spirit.
Sub-regional manager Manikpur expressed gratitude towards all the labor representatives, department heads and contract workers of Manikpur for their cooperation.
