Shri Pralhad Joshi chaired a review meet on Mile connectivity project
Shri Pralhad Joshi in a meeting to discuss on the First Mile Connectivity project of Coal India Limited.
Kolkata:In a review meeting chaired by Shri Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Coal of India discuss the ambitious First Mile Connectivity project of Coal India Limited. Emphasised on improving coal transportation through conveyor belts and mechanised loading through silos. Also deliberated on diversification plans for a sustainable future.
Earlier in June Coal India identifies the 14 additional projects involving capital expenditure of more than Rs 3,400 crore under the 'first mile connectivity' initiative to upgrade transport facility at mines.
Coal India Limited is aiming towards to replace the existing road transport between pitheads and despatch points and switch over to a seamless mechanised coal transport through conveyor belts which is a covered system for movement of coal reducing the dust pollution.
