Shri Shyam Murari Choudhary takes over as additional charge of Director (Finance), WCL

New Delhi: Shri Shyam Murari Choudhury has taken over the additional charge of Director (Finance) of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). He is presently serving as Director (Finance) of SECL. Shri Choudhary has served in various capacities in the Coal Industry for more than three decades. He had earlier also worked as Director (Finance) of WCL. He took over the additional charge of Director (Finance) of WCL from the same month. Earlier, he was General Manager (Finance) in Coal India Limited (CIL), Kolkata.

Mr Choudhary is a Qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant. He has also completed a certified course on IFRS and Indirect Taxes from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He started his career with Central Coalfields Limited. Shri Choudhary has been honoured with various awards for his outstanding work. He has been honoured with the Special Achievement Award by Coal India and Best CFO Award in PSU Category by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mumbai for his unique financial planning formalities related to the Mines Closure Plan.
