The cheque was presented in the presence of Smt Geeta Kapur

Shimla: A cheque amounting to Rs. 1,00,00,000 (One Crore) towards Chief Minister Relief Fund was presented to Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Jairam Thakur by Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN, Shri Nand Lal Sharma, at Shimla today. The cheque was presented in the presence of Smt Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel) and Sh. Akhileshwar Singh Chief General Manager (Finance)) SJVN. On this occasion, other senior officials from SJVN and Government of Himachal Pradesh were also present.
 
On this occasion Sh. Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director apprised Hon'ble Chief Minister that SJVN is efficiently operating two Hydro Power Stations in the State of Himachal Pradesh, namely 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Station & 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Station. He further informed that both the projects have already achieved the design energy for current financial year.
 
Sh. Nand Lal Sharma further said that the First Ground Breaking ceremony of Rising Himachal summit which was presided over by Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs Sh. Amit Shah included two projects of SJVN. These projects are 210 MW Luhri Stage – I HEP & 66 MW Dhaulasidh HEP. On completion 210 MW Luhri Stage – I HEP will generate 758 Million Units of electricity annually while 66 MW Dhaulasidh HEP will have the potential to generate 247 Million Units of electricity annually. The construction of these two projects will bring in an investment of around 2400 crores and will generate employment for nearly 3500 persons.
 
Sh. Sharma thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister for allocating six (6) other projects for which MoUs were signed during Rising Himachal Summit. He assured early completion of these projects and also requested to consider SJVN for allocation of other projects in the State, in the mutual beneficial interests of the State and SJVN.
 
The Hon’ble Chief Minister was kind enough to assure early favorable consideration of issues highlighted by Chairman & Managing Director, SJVN.
