New Delhi: Team WCL celebrated World Environment Day today on 05.06.2024 by planting trees at the company headquarters. CMD Shri J.P. Dwivedi was the chief guest in this Environment Day program. were present. As special guests, Director Technical (Operations and Planning/Projects) Shri A.K. Singh , Director (Finance) Shri Bikram Ghosh and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Ajay Madhukar Mhetre were present.

Dwivedi hoisted the environmental flag and administered the oath of environment conservation and promotion to the employees. After this, the Environment Day message of Chairman of Coal India Limited Shri P.M. Prasad was read out by General Manager (Environment) Shri A.K. Dixit. During the programme, a poster based on various efforts being made by WCL in the field of environment conservation was unveiled. After this , all the guests planted saplings.
