WCL starts COVID vaccination drive for teenagers
Maharashtra: Western Coalfields Ltd, a Coal India limited subsidiary has commenced the COVID-19 vaccination drive for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years, at its headquarters in Nagpur, Maharastra.
On day one over 71 children were vaccinated. The government started the vaccination drive for teenagers on Monday, January 3, 2022. However, around 7 lakh children between 15-18 were registered on the Co-Win platform till Sunday.
Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel) inaugurated the vaccination drive for children in the age group of 15 to 18 years at the Cultural Building of WCL Headquarters on Tuesday. Dr. Sanjay Kumar in his address said that do not hesitate to take the vaccine and motivate your young friends to take the vaccine as well. He further said that even after taking the vaccine, one must follow all the rules related to corona.
CVO Shri Amit Kumar Srivastava was also present on this occasion, he got his children vaccinated. CMS Dr. Sujatha Sarmukaddam, Dr. Gopal Krishnan, Technical Secretary to Director Personnel Mr. Anil Kumar Singh, and Secretary of Coal Club Mr. Nitin Gupta played a significant role in starting the vaccination center for children. It is noteworthy that so far more than 80 thousand people have been vaccinated
