Kartavya Bhavan-3 will be a modern office complex of about 1.5 lakh square meters spread over two basements and seven floors and would consist of key ministries, including Home, External Affairs, Rural Development, MSME, DoPT, Petroleum and Natural Gas, and the Principal Scientific Adviser.

News Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Kartavya Bhavan-3 at Kartavya Path in New Delhi today. He will also address a public programme on this occasion. Kartavya Bhavan-3 is part of the broader transformation of the Central Vista.

According to the officials, this is the first among several upcoming Common Central Secretariat buildings that aim to ease the administrative processes and for prompt governance.

The complex facility will lead to sustainability with various power-saving and recycling facilities, which would result in 30% energy saving by generating over five lakh units of electricity annually.

The Modern-based Building will exemplify and display the renovative infrastructure and modern governance decorum, with exclusive features of IT-backed and secure workspaces, ID card-based access controls, integrated electronic surveillance, and a centralized command system.

The infrastructure will also lead to sustainability, with double-glazed facades, rooftop solar, solar water heating, advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and rainwater harvesting.

The facility will promote eco-consciousness through zero-discharge waste management, in-house solid waste processing, e-vehicle charging stations, and extensive use of recycled construction material.
