PM Narendra Modi Launches Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive, Unveils ₹17,000 Crore Projects in Ajmer
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign from Ajmer, alongside inaugurating and laying the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately ₹17,000 crore across Rajasthan.
Addressing a large public gathering, the Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to holistic development, stating that the “double-engine government” is advancing Rajasthan’s heritage and modern growth simultaneously.
Major Development Push Across Sectors
The Prime Minister announced projects spanning roads, electricity, water supply, healthcare, and education. These initiatives are expected to improve public convenience and generate substantial employment opportunities for the youth.
More than 21,000 appointment letters were distributed to new recruits during the event, marking what the Prime Minister described as a new chapter for Rajasthan’s youth.
Nationwide HPV Vaccination Campaign Begins
Launching the HPV vaccination drive from Ajmer, the Prime Minister called it a transformative step toward empowering India’s “Nari Shakti.” Emphasizing the importance of women’s health, he noted that a healthy mother strengthens the entire family.
The campaign aims to safeguard mothers and daughters from cervical cancer, reinforcing the government’s broader commitment to women-centric welfare initiatives.
Focus on Women’s Welfare and Dignity
Highlighting the government’s efforts in improving women’s health and dignity, Shri Modi cited mission-mode implementation of toilets, access to sanitary pads, and clean cooking fuel through welfare schemes. He also referred to financial assistance of ₹5,000 provided to pregnant women under safe motherhood initiatives to ensure proper nutrition.
Infrastructure and Investment Momentum
The Prime Minister emphasized that improved road, rail, and air connectivity is reshaping Rajasthan’s economic landscape. Enhanced connectivity between Ajmer and Pushkar is boosting tourism and benefiting local businesses.
He further highlighted opportunities arising from the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, positioning Rajasthan as a growing hub for global investment and industrial expansion.
River Linking and Farmer Welfare
Addressing long-standing farmer concerns, Shri Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to implementing the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). He stated that interlinking river initiatives, including the modified Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal and Yamuna-Rajasthan link projects, would provide assured water benefits to farmers in districts such as Jhalawar, Baran, Kota, and Bundi.
Solar Power and PM Surya Ghar Scheme
Calling Rajasthan a land blessed with abundant sunlight, the Prime Minister highlighted the impact of the PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Under the scheme, eligible households receive assistance of ₹78,000 for rooftop solar installations.
Over 1.25 lakh families in Rajasthan have already enrolled, with many witnessing near-zero electricity bills, transforming solar energy into a source of savings and additional income.
Strengthening India’s Global Standing
The Prime Minister also reflected on India’s rising global profile, citing international recognition of the country’s technological and defence capabilities. He praised the armed forces for their decisive actions against terrorism and emphasized India’s growing stature on the global stage.
Concluding his address, Shri Modi reiterated the vision of “Developed India through Developed Rajasthan,” expressing confidence that sustained reforms and infrastructure expansion will ensure prosperity for every family in the state.
