A total of 14 teams from WCL, MOIL India Limited, HCL, RCCL, and Sunflag participated in the event, including 12 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams.

54th Zonal Mine Rescue Competition Concludes at Mansar Mine, MOIL India

The 54th Zonal Mine Rescue Competition concluded successfully at the Mansar Mine of MOIL India Limited. The competition was jointly organized by MOIL India Limited and Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) from October 12 to 14, 2025.

A total of 14 teams from WCL, MOIL India Limited, HCL, RCCL, and Sunflag participated in the event, including 12 men’s teams and 2 women’s teams.

In the men’s category, the overall first position was secured by WCL Nagpur Area, the second position went to WCL Chandrapur Area, and the third position was bagged by MOIL India Limited.

In the women’s category, the WCL Women’s Team stood first overall, while the MOIL India Limited Women’s Team achieved second position.

The valedictory and prize distribution ceremony was graced by Shri J. P. Dwivedi, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, WCL, Dr. Hemant Pande, Director (Human Resources), WCL, Shri Ramavatar Meena, Deputy Director General of Mines Safety (West Zone), Shri Neeraj Kumar, Deputy Director General of Mines Safety (North Zone), and Directors of MOIL India Limited. The dignitaries presented trophies and certificates to the winners.

Senior officers from various areas of WCL, along with officials and employees from MOIL India Limited, HCL, RCCL, and Sunflag, attended the event in large numbers, making the competition a grand success.
