DVC hosts HR Meet 2025 on the theme “Employee Engagement & Productivity in a Tech-Driven World”
Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) hosted the HR Meet 2025 on 5th and 6th September at Hotel Pride Plaza, Newtown, Kolkata. The two-day event brought together over 200 HR leaders and practitioners from industry and academia.

Kolkata: Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) hosted the HR Meet 2025 on 5th and 6th September at Hotel Pride Plaza, Newtown, Kolkata. The two-day event brought together over 200 HR leaders and practitioners from industry and academia.
The meet was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri P.M. Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director, Coal India Limited. He was joined by Shri S. Suresh Kumar, IAS : Chairman DVC, Professor K. Rangarajan, IIFT Kolkata, Professor K.M. Agarwal, IISWBM, Shri Kush Singh, Head (Power), CESC Limited, Dr. Vinay Ranjan, Director (HR), Coal India Limited, Shri Arup Sarkar, Member (Finance), DVC, and Shri Swapnendu Kumar Panda, Member (Technical), DVC.
Over the two days, a total of 27 papers and case studies were presented involving about 45 authors. The Meet saw participation from about 21 organizations from industry and academia. The participating organizations included Coal India Ltd., Tata Power, HPCL, Hindustan Copper Ltd., Deloitte, Vodafone, XLRI, IIM Ranchi, Heritage Business School, IMI Kolkata, IEM, UEM, IIFT, IISWBM, CESC Ltd., and others.
As a special initiative, on 5th September 2025, being Teachers’ Day, all participating teachers and professors were felicitated for their contributions in shaping young minds and nurturing future leaders.
Participants engaged in workshops and sessions on productivity, engagement, Artificial Intelligence and analytics, case studies, and panel discussions on workforce transitions. HR Meet 2025 was a celebration of people, innovation, and collaboration, reaffirming DVC’s commitment to building workplaces where technology empowers, but people truly matter.
