NLCIL inaugurates the first Ideation Mela 'MY IDEA' to improve company’s efficiency through Innovations
New Delhi: With a view to enhance the efficiency and the performance of the company in all spheres of operations and management, NLC India has created an in-house portal “MY IDEA” which is the acronym for “My Innovative Drive for Exceptional Achievement” for innovation and creativity. This idea generation scheme is in line with the NLCIL’s Core Value, “NLCIL COMMITS”.
As a prelude of the scheme introduced, a formal inauguration of the first Ideation Mela was conducted today, 1st January, 2024 at NLCIL’s Corporate office. This event was inaugurated by Shri. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD/NLCIL, along with Functional Directors Shri Kalasani Mohan Reddy, Director (P&P), Shri Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) and Director (Finance) AC, Shri Samir Swarup, Director (HR) and Shri. M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power). Senior Officials of NLC India Limited and representatives from recognized Unions and Associations were also present in the inauguration ceremony.
The newly conceptualized Ideation Mela will be practiced in every calendar year on 1st January and 1st July. By celebrating Ideation Mela, the focus is to appreciate, acknowledge and nurture the spirit of innovation and creativity among employees in NLCIL. With the launch of the new idea generation portal, NLCIL has taken a step ahead towards actualizing the core value of Innovation and Creativity, which is well demonstrated in NLCIL core values: “N-L-C-I-L-C-O-M-M-I-T-S” and infusing the core value of Innovation and Creativity in the DNA of NLCIL employees. Additionally, the new idea generation portal seeks to create an environment which will encourage the employees to come up with innovative and ground breaking ideas for enhancing business performance and execution of excellence across all spheres of NLCIL’s business. This digital platform also aims to facilitate the ease of access for NLCIL employees to generate and submit their innovative ideas and to create a transparent mechanism for finalization and rewarding promising ideas.
On the eve of this landmark event today, NLCIL employees were duly recognized and awarded by Shri. Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, CMD/NLCIL, for having come up with impactful New Year Resolution Ideas, aiming to future growth of the company by nurturing a culture of excellence. CMD/NLCIL appreciated the teams who had worked behind the curtains to make first Ideation Mela a grand success. He also stressed on the need of a robust scheme that will promote innovation and creativity at a time when NLCIL is at a crucial juncture and seeks to cross new frontiers in its path of achieving new pinnacles of success.
