GAIL (India) records milestone in erecting PPB in Polypropylene Unit
The PPB is an essential part of the gas-phase polymerisation process and has two functions. It serves as a resin surge vessel for the extruder and recycles unreacted polypropylene.

State-owned GAIL successfully erects the Product Purge Bin (PPB) in the Polypropylene Unit, marking an engineering milestone from our PDH-PP Project at USAR. The PPB has an impressive volume of 1350 m³, with a height of 52.037 meters and an internal diameter of 9.144 meters at the top and 4.70 meters at the bottom. When empty, it weighs 381 MT, and when in use, it weighs 875 MT.
