National Sports Day Observed at NTPC CMHQ with Fit India Pledge and Sporting Events
New Delhi: The observance of National Sports Day was kickstarted at CMHQ with great enthusiasm.
The event began with the administration of the Fit India Pledge to all employees in the presence of Shri Naveen Jain, RED (Mining) & ED (FM), NTPC, and CEO, NML.
Following the pledge, employees participated enthusiastically in an online Fit India Quiz, which was followed by the inaugural matches of carrom and table tennis. These matches saw the participation of Shri Naveen Jain, RED (Mining), Shri K. C. Muraleedharan, CGM (CC-FM), Shri D. Shrikhande, GM (TS), Shri R. C. Majhi, GM (C&M), and Shri Prabhat Ram, GM (HR).
The inaugural matches were followed by several rounds of carrom and table tennis between different teams, held at both the Chutia and Kadru offices, with employees participating in large numbers.
The celebrations will continue with outdoor matches of volleyball, cricket, and tug of war between various employee teams.
This mega event was successfully coordinated by the Employee Welfare Association of CMHQ in association with the HR Department, with the objective of promoting fitness and fostering the spirit of sportsmanship among employees.
