NHPC Director Sanjay Kumar Singh Reviews 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project Progress
Arunachal Pradesh, February 18, 2026 – Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects) of NHPC, visited the 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydro Electric Project (SLHEP) on 17–18 February 2026 to review ongoing civil and electro-mechanical works.
On arrival, Shri Singh was welcomed by Shri Rajendra Prasad, Executive Director & Head of Project (HOP), Subansiri Lower Project, along with other senior officers. During the visit, he inspected the Power House, including preparedness for commissioning Unit #1 and Unit #4, as well as progress on Units #5 to #8.
Shri Singh also visited the Dam area, reviewing protection works at the Diversion Tunnel (DT) inlet and outlet areas, and assessed critical electro-mechanical works to ensure timely project execution. He directed the executing agencies to expedite remaining activities in line with the schedule for early commissioning of the balance units.
Appreciating the commitment and dedication of the project team, Shri Singh encouraged continued efforts to maintain progress and achieve timely completion of all units.
