NTPC Koldam Hydro Project

Sundarnagar.  With the start of reservoir impounding today  Koldam,  the flagship Hydro Power Project of NTPC shall be ready to generate power by year 2014-15. Koldam project with an installed capacity of 800 MW ( 4x200 MW) will provide the much needed peaking capacity to the Northern grid.

 

Addressing the employees after inaugurating the filling up of the reservoir Dr. Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD , NTPC appreciated their efforts and exhorted them to continue with the same zeal for some more time and bring the project on stream at the earliest.  Shri N.N. Misra, Director (Operations), Shri A.K. Jha, Director ( Tech) , Shri S.C. Pandey, Director ( Projects), Shri V.K. Gupta Executive Director ( Hydro ) and Shri A.K. Nanda, General Manager(Koldam) were present on the occasion.
