NTPC Bongaigaon Celebrates World Earth Day with Green Initiative
More than 50 saplings, including fruit-bearing and native species, were planted within the township and plant premises to mark the day.
New Delhi: In a tribute to the planet and its ecosystems, NTPC Bongaigaon observed World Earth Day today with a plantation drive organized by the Environment Management Group (EMG) Department. The event focused on strengthening NTPC’s commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable living.
Shri Arnab Maitra, Head of Project, NTPC Bongaigaon, planted saplings to inaugurate the drive in the presence of Shri Debabrata Kar, General Manager (O&M), and senior officials from various departments. More than 50 saplings, including fruit-bearing and native species, were planted within the township and plant premises to mark the day.
