NTPC Northern Region organised Tree plantation and street play on 'Swachhta Awareness'
As part of Swachhta Pakhwada observed from 16th to 31st May 2025, a tree plantation was organized on 30th May 2025 at the NTPC Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ) premises.
The event was graced by Shri N. S. Rao, Regional Executive Director (North), who led the plantation initiative in the august presence of Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Regional Head of HR, along with Heads of Departments, senior officials, and employees. The plantation drive aimed to spread the message of environmental conservation and promote greenery.
Additionally, street plays (Nukkad Nataks) were conducted at two prominent locations i.e Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow, with the support of the Northern Railway in the presence of NTPC and Northern Railway Officials and the other was organised near NRHQ premises.
These performances were organized to raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness in everyday life. The street play on "Swachhata" served as a strong medium to engage the public. It encouraged individuals to take active responsibility for maintaining cleanliness in their surroundings and inspired collective participation in local cleanliness drives, along with the adoption of sustainable and hygienic practices
