NTPC Rihand Inaugurates 7-Day Rihand Khel Mahotsav 2023: 'Khelga Bharat, Jeetega Bharat'

Bijpur: NTPC Rihand proudly announces the commencement of the much-anticipated 7-day Rihand Khel Mahotsav 2023, a celebration of rural sportsmanship and community engagement. Under the vibrant tagline "Khelga Bharat, Jeetega Bharat," the event was inaugurated by the esteemed Regional Executive Director (North), Shri Praveen Saxena, virtually in presence of Head of Project Rihand, Shri Pankaj Mediratta and President Vartika Mahila Mandal Samiti Smt. Anita Mediratta.
This remarkable sporting extravaganza aims to promote and nurture rural sports among the youth, fostering a spirit of athleticism and camaraderie within the community. Rihand Khel Mahotsav 2023 encompasses a diverse range of traditional and popular rural sports, including Archery, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Football, Long Jump, High Jump etc.
"Rural sports have an incredible potential to not only enhance physical fitness but also in still values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship," remarked Shri Praveen Saxena, highlighting the significance of such initiatives under NTPC Rihand's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Addressing the gathering Shri Mediratta said that” I firmly believe that Rihand Khel Mahotsav will serve as a beacon of encouragement for more than 3000 participants to embrace sportsmanship and foster a culture of fitness and discipline. Aligning with the government’s laudable initiative of Khelo India, Gramin Khel Mahotsav organized under CSR not only showcases talent but also nurtures a generation passionate about sports, ensuring a healthier and more competitive tomorrow for our nation reflecting our commitment to nurturing holistic development within our community."
