Hon'ble Union Minister of Power, Shri Manohar Lal, was presented with a cheque of Rs 2067.68 Cr. for FY24-25 as the first interim dividend from Shri R. K. Tyagi, CMD POWERGRID, in the presence of Shri Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), Board of Directors of POWERGRID and other senior officials from MOP and POWERGRID.

In addition to this, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL) has been assigned an ISTS scheme “Eastern Region Expansion Scheme – 44” or “ERES-44” under the regulated tariff mechanism (RTM) route. It is estimated to cost Rs.385.77 crore, with an envisaged implementation period of 18 months (15 months on best-effort basis), this scheme was approved at a recent meeting of National Committee on Transmission (NCT). ERES-44 will take shape in West Bengal.
