RVNL CMD Pradeep Gaur retires from service, Check who is likely to succeed
Mr. Pradeep Gaur, Chairman & Managing Director, has been superannuated from the services of the Railway PSU, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), on 31st August, 2025
New Delhi, 1 September 2025: Mr. Pradeep Gaur, Chairman & Managing Director, has been superannuated from the services of the Railway PSU, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), on 31st August, 2025, and accordingly, he ceases to be a director on the Board of RVNL w.e.f. 01.09.2025. His tenure as CMD began in September 2018, and he guided the company, contributing towards its significant growth and diversification.
He is an IRSE officer of the 1987 batch. In April 2025, the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) advertised the vacancy for the post of Chairman and Managing Director of the company. For now, the company has appointed an acting CMD on an interim basis until the regular incumbent takes place. Further, any decision will take place at the 22nd AGM of the company.
In August 2025, an IRSE officer, SC Jain, has been appointed to take additional charge of the RVNL CMD position, indicating a transition or potential vacancy.

The PESB has not yet scheduled the interview meeting for the appointment.
The next heir probably will be the most senior executive director or any higher official serving as director on the Board of Directors. Some other officers from other PSU departments are also likely to get shortlisted for the interview.
Additionally, Mr. Pushp Mitra Sharma, Pr. Executive Director, will superannuate from the services of the company on 31.08.2025, and he would also ceases to be part of senior management of the company.
