Gift Nifty signals a slightly lower start
Gift Nifty on the NSE IX traded lower by 9 points, or 0.04%, at 21,770, indicating a dull start on Friday morning. Yesterday's updates show positive domestic indices rebound as the BSE Sensex advanced 491 points or 0.69% to settle at 71,847. The broader NSE gained 141 points or 0.66% to end at 21,658.
The Nifty on Thursday ended with 141 points, accruing to recover the previous bearish stance which consecutively follows upto for couple of days. The strong tradewinds are reverse on previous sessions, making things on investment more vulnerable. Asian stocks on other hand also staggered to resist down nine-month-long winning streak. Japan's Nikkie 225 added 0.33%, or 109.23 points, to 33,397.52, while the broader Topix index climbed 0.40%, or 9.57 points, to 2,388.36.
The rupee appreciated 6 paise to close at 83.24 against the US dollar on Thursday, stimulated by bullish green trend in domestic equities and favoured by the weak American currency in the overseas market.

The US dollar is trading down by 0.02% at 102.40. The Nasdaq composite dipped 45.15 points or 0.31% at 14,547.06. The S&P 500 dropped by 4.44 points or 0.09% at 4,700.37, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at 35.53 or 0.09%.
