NTPC Proactively offers Aids and support for Cyclone-hit Odisha
Odisha: Reiterating its commitment towards being a socially conscious organisation, NTPC Limited has initiated a series of initiatives to help restore normalcy in the state of Odisha which was ravaged by cyclone Fani, recently.
In coordination with the Director Health Services, NTPC set up medical camps at two locations in Puri (Penthakata and Chandrabhaga). A team comprising of six doctors and 5 paramedics attended to over 250 people that visited the camps on the afternoon of May 6th. In addition to this, NTPC has provided 3 DG sets (2 Nos 125 KVA and 1nos 250KVA), conductors of 100 km length and 1000 poles for restoration work. A 5-member team carrying power saws has been assigned the task of removing the trees which fell due to the cyclone. 350 people are actively working with the Central Electricity Supply Utility (CESU) of Odisha.
