Vigilance Awareness Week observed in SAIL
New Delhi.A weeklong vigilance awareness week was observed at the corporate office of Steel Authority of India Ltd. from 26th – 31st October, 2015. SAIL has adopted good governance and a vigilant way of working and all such initiatives undertaken by the company were highlighted during the week.
A film on vigilance activities practiced in SAIL was also screened on DD national during the week which was based on the theme of ‘Vigilant India, Empowered India’.
During this week various competitions including essay and quiz were organized for SAIL employees and drawing & poster competition for employees wards were conducted. The activities were based on this year’s theme of Preventive Vigilance: A tool of good governance. A talk on leveraging information technology for preventive vigilance was also organized for the employees.
The observance of the week started with administering the pledge to employees by functional Directors of the company and CVO, SAIL. Messages received from President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice and CVC were also read out for employees
