Foundation Day of Coal India
In his address Chief Guest Director (Finance) Shri D K Ghosh congratulated everyone on the occasion of CIL/CCL Foundation Day. In his address, while highlighting the performance of CCL, he said that the company has got an Extraordinary and Excellent rating in the last five years. The company
has recorded significant cost-reduction in the current fiscal year. He appreciated marketing and sales department for registering 22% growth in coal dispatch. Shri Ghosh informed that at the beginning of this financial year, the company had coal stocks of more than 17 million tonnes, which has been reduced to less than 6 million tonnes. He appreciated the contribution of each and every employee for this achievement and motivated everyone to continue the good work. Shri Ghosh appreciated the humble leadership of CMD / Chairman Shri Gopal Singh and said that Shri Singh has an important role in guiding the company towards this extraordinary success.
Director (Personnel) Shri R.S. Mahapatro remembered the martyrdom of Coal Martyrs and briefly highlighted the history of Coal India/CCL. Shri Mahapatro said that with the relentless hard work of all, today we have established ourselves as the Energy Provider of the country, and we have to fulfil this role with full responsibility in future too. CCL has performed tremendously well, surpassing all the challenges in recent years. He emphasized on the need for mining while keeping the environmental protection in mind.
In his address, Mr. Subir Chandra, Director (Technical/Operations), greeted everyone on the occasion and said that it is a matter of pride for us that we are members of the Coal India family. Shri Chandra said that I have full confidence that we will repeat the history by achieving our goal even in this fiscal year. We have to stand and we will continue to take forward all the chariots of the development of CCL and Coal India together.
On this occasion Smt, Pramila Singh, w/o of CMD, Smt. Rimi Ghosh, w/o of Director (F), Smt. Reeta Rekha Chandra, w/o of Director (T/O), Smt. Sunita Mahapatro, w/o of Director (P), Smt. Poonam Mishra, w/o of Director (P&P), Smt Nidhi Srivastava w/o CVO, Smt. Manjula Sharma, Coordinator WIPS and other women officers visited Central Hospital, Gandhinagar, Old Age Home, Cheshire Home, Braj Kishore Netraheen Balika Vidyalaya and Shanti Shadan and distributed fruit and sweets.
