SCOPE and NLC Organises National Seminar on Best Practices in Tendering Contract Management
Neyveli. NLC India Limited in association with Standing Conference of Public Sector Enterprise (SCOPE), has organized a two day (16th & 17th December of 2016) National Seminar cum Workshop on “Best practices in Tendering, Contract Management and Disputes Resolution” at Neyveli, as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations,Justice F.M Ibrahim Kalifulla ,Former judge Supreme Court of India, inaugurated the seminar by lighting the traditional lamp in the presence of Dr U.D Choubey, Director General, Scope, Shri B.B Singh, CMD, Metal Scrap Trade Corporation, Dr S.K Acharya CMD ,NLCIL & Functional Directors of NLCIL at Learning &Development Centre, Neyveli, on December 16 , 2016 .
over 200 delegates from various organizations including NLC India are participating in the workshop. Shri Susheel Kumar, Secretary, Ministry of Coal, GoI, In his address through Video conference from Delhi said effective contract management & Tender process are tools for ensuring a transparent system of procurement of goods, works & services in PSU's and private sectors which pave the way for growth of Nations economy.
Dr U.D Choubey, the guest of honor in his address, insisted that for Tendering & Contract management an organization has to follow plethora of rules, regulation and legislations of its own and Central & State Govt.'s. organizational management requires commitment to continuous improvement and best practice performance of all those involved.
Dr. S.K Acharya, CMD, NLC India Ltd, in his presidential message, thanked all the dignitaries, delegates, and participants from different parts of the country and industries . Shri B.B Singh CMD,MSTC felicitated the occasion.
Earlier, P.Selvakumar, Director (Planning &Projects) delivered the Seminar theme Speech and Shri .N. Anantharaman GM/Contracts& Computer Services, delivered welcome speech. NLC Functional Directors, Shri Rakesh Kumar , Shri SubirDas , Shri Thangapandian and Shri R. Vikraman graced the Occasion. Shri V.Rajeevan ,DGM/Legal rendered vote of thanks. Also, an exhibition was organized to showcase NLCIL modus operandi & achievements.
