Govt Invites Applications for Post of Next IRDAI Chairperson, here to know details
The government has invited applications for the post of the chairperson in the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India. The last date to apply for the post is April 6, 2025.
The tenure of current Chairperson Debasish Panda is about to end. Panda joined as chairman of the IRDAI on March 14, 2022. Before joining IRDAI, Panda served as secretary of the department of financial services, Ministry of Finance.
Panda also served as Joint Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Additional Secretary, and Special Secretary (Financial Services) in the Government of India.

The applicants should preferably have at least 30 years of relevant work experience, should have worked as Secretary to the Government of India or its equivalent level in the Government of India or State Government or other institutions, and should have had a proven track record of leadership and authority in decision-making, stated the release.
Applicants from the private sector should have worked as CEO or the equivalent of a large financial institution. The applicant should have two years of relevant experience in residual service as of the date of vacancy.
