NTPC Invites Applications for Associate Positions from Retired PSU Executives

New Delhi, December 2025:
NTPC Limited, India’s largest power utility, has announced openings for Associate positions to be deployed in its Commercial function across various NTPC locations. The recruitment is aimed at retired executives from PSUs and government organizations, particularly those with substantial experience in the power distribution sector.

As per the announcement, applicants must have retired at the level of Assistant Engineer or equivalent and above from a State Electricity Distribution Company or State PSU in the power sector. Candidates should possess a minimum of 20 years of experience in State Power Distribution Utilities or State PSUs.

NTPC has stated that professionals with experience in specific functional areas will be given preference, including:

• Metering, billing, and revenue management

• Energy accounting and loss reduction

• Operation and maintenance of the distribution network

• Regulatory, commercial, or tariff-related work

• Customer service and reporting to SLDC/RPC

Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Power Engineering from a recognized institution. The company has noted that diploma holders with significant relevant experience may also be considered in deserving cases.

The selected Associates will support NTPC in field-level operations, data management, strengthening market intelligence, and enhancing engagement with state utilities. The upper age limit for applicants is 62 years, and the period of engagement will be one year.
