SBI appointed its new chairman Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara

New Delhi: Shri Dinesh Kumar Khara is appointed as the new chairman of the State Bank of India, his term will effectively start from today October 7, 2020, for three years. He has been replaced SBI ex-chairman Shri Rajnish Kumar.
The government of India today gives the appointment to Khara, as the Bank Board Bureau (BBB) yesterday already mentioned that the most probably the new chairman will be him.
A notification issued by the Finance Ministry states that "Dinesh Kumar Khara, appointed as chairman of the bank for 3 years with effect from the date of his taking over charge of the post on or after 7.10.2020, or until further orders, whichever is earlier."
The new SBI chairman will have a tough task ahead as the banking sector is going through a major crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
