Coal India declares dividend, reports 12% growth in Net Profit of Q4

Maharatna Coal PSU, Coal India Ltd on Wednesday, has reported a 12% growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 9,593 crore in the fourth quarter, compared with Rs 8,530 crore in the corresponding period of previous year.

During the January–March 2025 period, operating revenue decreased by 1% to Rs 37,825 crore. In the preceding year, it was Rs 38,213 crore.

Meanwhile, the total expenses for the quarter under preview has rose marginally to Rs 29,057 crore as compared to the Rs 28,950 crore in the FY24.

Further, the Board of Directors in its meeting had recommended payment of Final Dividend for the financial year 2024-25 @ Rs. 5.15/- per share of the face value of Rs 10/- as recommended by the Audit Committee of CIL in its meeting held on date subject to the approval of the Members at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the Company.

The dividend would be paid within 30 days from the date of declaration at the AGM. The Record Date for Final Dividend would be fixed and intimated in due course.

Shares of Coal India Ltd are trading higher by 1.57% at Rs 384.20 as of 3:30 pm at NSE.
