Gujarat Gas Issues Force Majeure Notice Amid R-LNG Supply Disruption

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Gas Limited has informed stock exchanges that it has issued Force Majeure notices to its industrial customers due to severe constraints in the availability of Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas (R-LNG).

The company stated that the ongoing war situation in the Middle East region has significantly impacted the global gas supply scenario, leading to restricted R-LNG availability.

As per the disclosure under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, Gujarat Gas will restrict the Daily Contracted Quantity (DCQ) supplied to industrial customers, effective from March 6, 2026, in accordance with the provisions of its Gas Supply Agreements.

The company further clarified that Acts of War are not covered under its existing insurance policies. At present, the financial impact of the Force Majeure event cannot be estimated, as the situation remains dynamic and ongoing.

Gujarat Gas stated that it is closely monitoring developments and will keep the stock exchanges informed of any material updates.
