Asheesh Panday and Kalyan Kumar selected as MD and CEO of Union Bank, Central Bank of India
The Financial Services Institutions Bureau has selected Mr Asheesh Pandey as the MD and CEO of Union Bank of India and Mr Kalyan Kumar as MD and CEO of Central Bank of India.
Currently, Mr Pandey and Mr Kumar are serving as Executive Directors at Bank of Maharashtra and Punjab National Bank, respectively.
As per the official notification issued, Financial Services Institutions Bureau interfaced with 23 candidates from various public sector banks from May 27 to May 30, 2025 for the upcoming positions of MD & CEO in PSBs.

Keeping in view their performance in the interface, their overall experience and the extant parameters, the Bureau recommended Shri Asheesh Pandey for the upcoming vacancy of MD & CEO in Union Bank of India and Shri Kalyan Kumar for the upcoming vacancy of MD & CEO in Central Bank of India.
Presently, incumbent Union Bank Chief A Manimekhalai’s tenure is going to end in next month. Meanwhile, the term of MV Rao as MD and CEO will expire in July, 2025.
