Shri Prashant Kumar Mishra Appointed Officer on Special Duty to Minister for Jal Shakti; Pallavi Singh’s Tenure Extended

New Delhi, March 11, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Shri Prashant Kumar Mishra, IAS (KN:2014) as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Shri C. R. Patil, Minister for Jal Shakti, in the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation.

Shri Mishra’s appointment is at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period of four years, effective from the date of assuming charge or co-terminus with the Minister, whichever occurs earlier. The Government of Karnataka has been requested to relieve him immediately to take up this new assignment.

Extension of Tenure for Ms. Pallavi Singh

In a separate notification, the ACC has extended the central deputation tenure of Ms. Pallavi Singh, IRPS (2008), Director in the Department of Personnel & Training, for two more years, from April 12, 2026, to April 11, 2028, under the Central Staffing Scheme. Ms. Singh has been serving on central deputation since April 12, 2021.
