PM Modi Launches ₹260 Crore NHPC Floating Solar Project in Kerala to Boost Clean Energy
Kerala, March 11, 2026 – Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for a 50 MW Floating Solar Project in West Kallada, Kerala, being developed by NHPC Limited, a leading Navratna CPSE, under the Solar Park Scheme of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. The project involves a total investment of over ₹260 crore.
The foundation ceremony was part of PM Modi’s inauguration of multiple infrastructure projects in Ernakulam, Kerala, with a combined investment exceeding ₹10,800 crore, supporting the government’s vision of “Viksit Keralam – Viksit Bharat.”
