Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Officially Renamed as Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank — RBI
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially changed the name of Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow to Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 — notified September 17, 2025 and published in the Gazette on October 24, 2025.
Mumbai, December 2, 2025: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially notified the alteration in the name of a major cooperative bank in Uttar Pradesh.
The name of "Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow" has been changed to "Uttar Pradesh State Cooperative Bank Limited, Lucknow".
Statutory Compliance
This alteration has been formally effected in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
