Patna, 1 Dec 2025. The Bihar government has reassigned several senior IAS officers, placing them in new roles across important departments to improve governance and administration.

Key Appointments

Mihir Kumar Singh (1993 batch) is now the Development Commissioner of Bihar, stepping in after the retirement of the previous officer. He was formerly Additional Chief Secretary in the Transport and Industries Departments.

C.K. Anil (1991 batch) takes on the role of Principal Secretary in the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, moving from the Bihar State Planning Council.

Deepak Kumar Singh (1992 batch) becomes the Director General and Investigation Commissioner in the General Administration Department.

Kundan Kumar (2004 batch) returns from Bihar Bhawan, New Delhi, to serve as Secretary of Industries. He will also oversee Bihar Bhawan and Industrial Area Development.

Sanjay Kumar Singh (2007 batch) is appointed Secretary of the Commercial Tax Department and will have additional responsibilities in the Home Department.

Kaushal Kishore (2010 batch), Commissioner of Darbhanga Division, will now also manage the Tirhut Division (Muzaffarpur).

Raj Kumar takes the role of Secretary in the Transport Department.

B. Karthikeya Dhanji, who previously had additional charge of the Industries Department, has been relieved of those duties.
