Cabinet appoints Secretary and Private Secretary for Vice President of India
Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the hiring of Shri Amit Khare, a retired IAS officer from the 1985 batch, as Secretary to the Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan.
New Delhi, 15 September 2025: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the hiring of Shri Amit Khare, a retired IAS officer from the 1985 batch, as Secretary to the Vice-President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan. He will be on a contract for three years starting from when he takes the job, or until further notice, whichever comes first, under the usual rules for re-employed central government officers.
Shri Chandrasekar S., IAS (KL: 2014), was appointed as Private Secretary to the Vice President of India.

The ACC has approved the curtailment of the tenure of Shri Chandrasekar S. IAS (KL:2014) as Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary level) in LBSNAA under the Central Staffing Scheme and appointed him as Private Secretary to the Vice President of India (Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan) in the Vice President's Secretariat at the level of Deputy Secretary for a period up to 28.02.2028 (i.e., for the balance period of his four-year central deputation tenure) with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the term of the Vice President of India or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Vice President of India or until further orders.
