New Delhi: ACC Approves Extension of Foreign Deputation for IAS Officer
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved an extension of the foreign deputation tenure for Shri Jujjavarapu Balaji, IAS (AM:2001). He currently serves as Minister (Agriculture) at the Embassy of India, Rome.

Assignment Tenure: 3 years from the date of assuming charge or until further orders.

Current Position: Director, Department of Economic Affairs.

Special Instructions: His central deputation as Director will be curtailed to accommodate this foreign posting.
The memorandum specifies that the officer is deemed relieved from his parent department upon commencement of the IFC assignment. Overstay beyond approved tenure may attract disciplinary actions, deferment of increments, and adjustments in service/pension benefits.
