NTPC to give fund manpower for cleaning city

VARANASHI. The NTPC has given a fund of Rs 30 crores with 400 safai employee to the Varanashi Municipal Corporation for cleaning city . VMC will utilize this fund and manpower in 14 wards along river Ganga. The VMC will also have relaxation to utilize the manpower given by NTPC in other localities if needed."

The dispute of solid waste management (SWM) plant at Karsada is still pending in Allahabad High Court, he said, further adding that as without operating this unit solving the city`s solid waste disposal problem will be difficult, the officials here have been asked to find out a way to make it operational by third party till the HC gives any decision in this case. The NTPC is ready to operate this unit till the arrival of the HC verdict in this case, he added
