WCL launches two important CSR initiatives in Nagpur
WCL installed AR with Tonometer, A-Scan with B-Scan, Phaco Machine and State-of-the-art eye care equipment like Slit Lamp has been provided.
New Delhi: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL) inaugurated two important initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR ) in Nagpur on 28th April 2025. These initiatives aim to bring a long-term positive impact in the field of ' Healthcare & Nutrition '.
WCL installed AR with Tonometer, A-Scan with B-Scan, Phaco Machine and State-of-the-art eye care equipment like Slit Lamp has been provided. WCL Director (Human Resources) Dr. Hemant Sharad Pandey inaugurated this equipment. These equipment helps the hospital to provide eye care every year. More than 1.2 lakh patients. This will help in providing high-quality eye examination and surgical facilities. This will help in the accurate identification of eye diseases, better treatment and restoration of vision. This initiative has been implemented in joint collaboration with SMM Eye Welfare Charitable Trust. On this occasion, Padmashree Dr. Vikas Mahatme will be specially present.

On this day, Dr. Pandey Bharatwada, Nagpur Located Annamrit Foundation's Centralised Kitchen inaugurated another CSR project in 2015. Under this initiative, Thermox Boiler, Double Jacketed Pan, RO Plant and Cooling System, Modern kitchen equipment like these have been installed. With this upgradation, the Foundation now provides daily It will be able to provide nutritious and clean food to more than 1 lakh children, families of patients and tribal communities.
WCL is playing a responsible and active role in the field of 'Healthcare & Nutrition' through CSR.
