EESL Signs MoU with NOIDA to install EV Charging Point in the City
New Delhi: Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), an energy service company of the Government of India and the world's largest public ESCO, has signed a MoU with New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) to install nearly 100 public charging stations in the city. It is expected that this step of promoting robust electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure will propel the adoption of e-mobility in Noida.
The MoU was signed by Managing Director, Shri Saurabh Kumar and NOIDA CEO Mrs. Ritu Maheshwari, and NOIDA Chairman Shri Alok Tandon was also present during the signing.
The Programme is being implemented by Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) which is a joint venture of four national Public-Sector Undertakings – NTPC Limited, Power Finance Corporation Limited, Rural Electrification Corporation Limited and POWERGRID Corporation of India Limited. EESL leads the market-related activities of the National Mission for Enhanced Energy Efficiency (NMEEE), one of the eight national missions under the Prime Minister’s National Action Plan on Climate Change.Telematics Wire
