Dangote Group appoints Engineers India Limited as PMC & EPCM consultant for major expansion of the Lekki Fertilizer Complex, adding four new urea production trains.
Mumbai, November 26, 2025: The Dangote Group, West Africa’s leading multinational conglomerate, has awarded Engineers India Limited (EIL) a major contract for the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) services for the expansion of the Dangote Fertilizer Complex at the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Nigeria.
The project will add four new Ammonia–Urea production trains, significantly boosting the existing capacity of the world-class facility. Once completed, the complex will house six integrated fertilizer trains, making it one of the largest nitrogenous fertilizer hubs globally with a total production capacity of 8 million tons of urea annually.
This expansion builds on the long-standing partnership between Dangote Group and EIL, which previously served as the PMC and EPCM consultant for the iconic 650,000 barrels-per-day Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Complex, commissioned in 2024.
