SECL CMD Conducts Surprise Early-Morning Inspection at Gevra Mine
Korba | February 2026: In a strong push towards operational excellence and workplace safety, the Chairman-cum-Managing Director (CMD) of South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) carried out an early-morning surprise inspection at the Gevra mining area at around 5:30 AM.
The inspection was conducted alongside the Area General Manager and other senior officials to assess on-ground operations, production planning, and workforce preparedness.
Focus on Performance With Zero Compromise on Safety
During the visit, the CMD reviewed key operational parameters and emphasized the need for improved productivity backed by strict adherence to 100% safety norms. He reiterated that operational efficiency must go hand-in-hand with a strong safety culture across all mining activities.
Safety compliance, equipment readiness, and manpower deployment were among the critical areas reviewed during the inspection.
