London, July 14, 2025: A tragic aviation incident unfolded near London Southend Airport on Sunday when a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air crashed shortly after takeoff, resulting in a fiery accident that triggered a major emergency response.

The aircraft, operated by Zeusch Aviation, had departed Southend Airport en route to Lelystad, Netherlands, under the call sign SUZ1. According to eyewitness accounts, the plane tilted sharply to the left moments after takeoff, flipped over, and then plummeted to the ground, erupting in flames upon impact.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said one witness, describing a massive fireball followed by thick columns of black smoke rising into the sky.

Emergency Response and Evacuations

Authorities declared the crash a Grade A ‘serious incident’, prompting an immediate lockdown of London Southend Airport. Flights were grounded and operations temporarily suspended as emergency crews rushed to the site.

Multiple units from Essex Police, fire services, and ambulance teams responded, including air ambulances and specialized hazardous material squads. Nearby establishments such as a golf course and rugby club were evacuated to ensure public safety.
