BPCL has signed a Tripartite Agreement with the Municipal Corporation of Bilaspur and Chhattisgarh Biofuel Development Authority to set up a Compressed Biogas (CBG) Plant in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh.
The agreement was signed by Shri Anil Kumar P, Executive Director I/c (Biofuels), on behalf of BPCL in presence of Shri Manoj Kumar Pingua, Additional Chief Secretary (Home & Prisons), Government of Chhattisgarh; and Shri Sanjay Agarwal, Collector, Bilaspur.
Under the SATAT initiative, this is BPCL’s second CBG plant in the state—designed to process 150 MT of municipal waste per day into clean, green fuel. The project supports India's push for a gas-based economy, while contributing to key national goals like Net Zero, Swachh Bharat, and energy security.
