CMPDI (Central Mine Planning and Design Institute) has just taken a fantastic step to boost education in Ranchi, Jharkhand!

On November 25, 2025, CMPDI signed an official agreement with UNISED (Unit of Science and Educational Development) to launch a new community project. This project is all about setting up Atal Tinkering Labs in six government schools across the city.

 

 

What is the Goal?

 

The initiative, warmly titled “Transforming Young Innovators: Atal Tinkering Labs in Six Government Schools of Ranchi,” is designed to promote STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and help young students develop their skills in innovation and creativity. Basically, it's about giving them the tools to invent and explore!

 

The Details

 

  • Who signed: The agreement was formally signed by Shri Sandeep Kumar Bhagat, the CMPDI Nodal Officer for CSR, and Ms. Rashmi Kumari, the Programme Director for UNISED.

  • The Plan: This is a four-year commitment, running from 2025 to 2029, with a total budget of 96 lakh rupees.

  • What's included: The funding will cover getting and installing all the lab equipment, providing detailed training for the teachers, and offering three full years of ongoing support to keep the labs running smoothly.

This project truly shows how dedicated CMPDI is to helping young learners grow and making sure the quality of education keeps improving through its social responsibility efforts. They are investing in the minds of tomorrow!
