RITES Ltd signs five-year MoU with Shree Cement to enhance rail infrastructure
RITES will provide end-to-end services from concept to commissioning - for upgrading, renovating, and establishing new rail connectivity, the company said.
A Railway Public Sector Enterprise, RITES Ltd has announced a significant partnership of five-year with Shree Cement to strengthen the latter’s rail infrastructure network to enable efficient and sustainable transportation of raw materials and finished goods across its manufacturing units.
According to the conditions of agreement, RITES will provide end-to-end services from concept to commissioning - for upgrading, renovating, and establishing new rail connectivity, the company said. The agreement can be extended through mutual consent.

Shree Cement MD Neeraj Akhoury stated that as the company expand the manufacturing footprint across India, strengthening the logistics and supply chain infrastructure becomes increasingly critical.
The collaboration with RITES is a strategic step towards creating a more efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable transportation system that supports our growth while reducing environmental impact," he added. He didn’t discloses the number of projects to be undertaken.

Further, the company will support contractor selection by evaluating and certifying the eligibility of executing agencies during the tendering process.
